Weight Loss Helped By Mind Over Body

By Mary Desaulniers To increase the success rate of any weight management program, we have to shift our thinking of “weight loss” as something that suggests deprivation, hunger or loss to something that suggests growth, development, and gain. Weight loss is not loss, but the building of a lean, powerful body. Losing weight is not losing at all, but gaining a newly reconfigured body. The best way to do this is to enlist the power of your mind. Visualize yourself at your ideal weight. Focus on your slim and slender body, your well-shaped legs. Imagine yourself living a powerful, dynamic life. Would you be bingeing yourself to death? Make this positive visualization of your ideal self a daily practice until you find it actually easy to see yourself as lean, strong and beautiful. Next time you feel like wolfing down a whole chocolate cake, shift your mind to that slender body and well-shaped legs. “Hunger” is another word we need to reclaim. We think that we have to be hungry to be slim. That is not so at all. We just need to be able to differentiate between real hunger and emotional hunger. Take time out and ask yourself, Am I really hungry? Think twice before putting anything in your mouth. If you decide that you are indeed hungry, then eat, but make sure that what you eat honors your body. Make sure it is nutritious food and not empty calories. If you decide the sense of deprivation you are feeling is emotional hunger, then the searching has to go deeper. Are you lonely? Angry? Stifled? Resentful? What is bothering you? Decide if you will take this anger out on your body or take the more courageous route: have it out and come to terms with it. Speak out what it is that makes you mad, sad, uneasy. Dont be afraid to dig. The best things have come from the darkest pits of the earth. Know yourself! Know when your most vulnerable moments are. Know when you are most susceptible to being sabotaged by your partners sneer, your mothers disbelief, your sisters insistence that you dont have it in you. (Families are so supportive, arent they?) Understand that your decision to change challenges their status quo and families are known to resist change (Dont rock the boat!). Once you understand where your Achilles heel is, develop a list of strategies to deal with the issue when it rises. Arm your mind: if you understand where they are coming from, it is easier to be less defensive and submissive. Arm your fridge: should you be swayed by these difficult moments to binge, have a whole fridge of allowable snacks so that even though you indulge in 2, 3 items, there is no harm done. Plan your day ahead. If you must have a snack before bedtime, make sure that you have low-fat, high protein snacks accessible in the fridge so that you do not opt for whats left over from dinner instead. There is less likelihood that you will sabotage your weight loss program if you have nutritious and allowable snacks available at all times. Eat 5-6 smaller meals a day (3 meals plus 2 snacks). Make your body think “abundance”, and it will expend more calories. Do not skip meals as this makes you body go into starvation mode and your body will respond to that by shutting down your metabolism. Measure yourself before you start your weight loss program and once a week after that. Measure your upper arms, chest, waist, hips, upper thighs, ankles, wrist. Record your measurements faithfully. If you are following your weight loss program carefully, you will notice a change in measurements very quickly. You will lose in inches; your clothes will feel looser. This will give your mind positive re-inforcement. Do not weigh yourself everyday. Your weight is not really an accurate measure of your progress because weight is dependent on time of day and hormonal fluctuations. Exercise 4-5 times a week. Work towards doing 30 minutes of cardio (walking, running, cycling) and 15 minutes of weight training. Use visualization to make exercise an active part of the New Beanutiful You. Reward yourself in ways other than food. Buy a new dress. Go see a movie. Take a weekend trip. Go dancing. Enjoy the new lifestyle you have created for yourself. See it not as a short term goal; instead focus on making the changes lifelong habits. You will forever be eating well, exercising well, taking care of yourself so that you will look great, feel great, be great! Be proud of yourself: you have trained your Body to be an extension of the Mind! A runner for 27 years, retired schoolteacher and writer, Mary is now doing what she has always done–being engaged in what she loves–running, weight training, writing, helping people reclaim their bodies by seeing that weight is just matter that needs to be processed. Nutrition, exercise, positive vision and purposeful engagement are the tools used to turn this matter into creative selves. a body well-nourished is a mind well-served~ http://www.GreatBodyat50.com. The 7 Stages of a Romantic Relationship

By Michelle L. Casto There are seven stages in a romantic relationship: avoidance, meeting, dating, breaking up, establishing exclusivity, commitment, and keeping the love you find. Each of these stages vary in length and intensity. At each stage, there are thoughts and feelings telling you what to do and when to do it. You need to learn to listen to your intuition in each stage, so that you can make smart decisions. It is important to note that the breaking up stage can happen at any time within the other stages; i.e., at any time you or the other person decides to exit the relationship for whatever reason. In all seven stages, you always have these choices: 1. Continue moving forward 2. Stagnate 3. Slow down or go backwards 4. Exit By taking notice of the signals from your head and heart, you will be better able to interpret what your intuition is telling you. At each stage, consider, What am I thinking and feeling? Are you receiving conflicting messages? Is your head saying one thing and your heart another? This is often the case, particularly in romantic relationships. What happens is there is an agreement error, a contrast between your thoughts and your feelings. This is perfectly normal. Just remember that you have your very own internal system of checks and balances. This system was designed to keep you safe. For the moment, it is temporarily out of order, probably due to stimulation overload. So, before making any decision at this time, go somewhere quiet the answers will come with reflection and focus. Once the answer comes, you should act quickly so you do not have time to doubt your decision. You should never feel trapped or unable to choose what is right for you. If at any time you do feel this way, then that is a good sign that something is not right with the relationship. You then need to examine what it is that is holding you back. If it turns out to be the other person, you are probably better off leaving the relationship. A smart way to make important stage decisions is to mutually agree on what to do next. After all, if it is meant to be, it will be, so you may as well start out making important decisions together. Couples who have good relationships know that it takes time to build their love. They make a conscious effort to progress slowly and purposefully through each stage, enjoying the process, while allowing their love to develop naturally. Communicating with each other is essential to this process. You should be open and honest about your concerns and fears, so that you can trust that everything has been said and understood by both parties. Even if you find that things arent what you would have hoped for, at least you know what is going on and then you can work on making it better. Levels of Love Most of us have experienced love blindness. We either think we love someone or do not realize until it is too late that we actually did love someone. You do not have to be blinded by love. You have the power to recognize it, but you must use smart decision-making skills to avoid making fatal relationship mistakes. In this section, work on waking up your awareness so that you will act in knowing. The first step is to become familiar with the stages of relationships and the corresponding levels of love that you or your partner will most likely experience. Relationship Avoidance Stage I do not desire love Goal: to prepare yourself for love Characterized by non-interest Meeting Stage I am open to finding love Goal: to prospect for the possibility of love in others Characterized by anticipation Dating Stage I hope to find love Goal: to pre-qualify for a potential partner Characterized by uncertainty (These three stages represent being single and the importance of using the Screen-out process.) Breaking Up Stage I no longer have love with this person Goal: to let go of the person/love Characterized by disappointment/relief (Breaking up is a transitional stage.) Exclusivity Stage I think this is love Goal: to further qualify the person to see if she/he might be a good match Characterized by excitement Commitment Stage I know this is love Goal: to close the deal Characterized by confidence Keeping the Love You Find Stage I want to keep this love Goal: to preserve the love you have found Characterized by continuous commitment (These three stages represent being involved and the importance of using the Screen-in process.) The key is to consciously place yourself in each stage. For example, if you decide you want to be in the dating stage then be fully present and make a true effort to make yourself available for dating. If, however, you find that your heart isnt in it, and that you would rather avoid relationships, then you need to stop and consciously put yourself back in that stage. This will help you to stay clear on what you want and enable you to honestly communicate to others “where you are at. Each level and stage of the relationship is a transition and involves psychological and emotional energy. As you progress through each level, you will no doubt experience excitement and anxiety, hope and fear, arousal and dis-arousal, certainty and uncertainty, along with a myriad of other feelings. You will need to work hard at balancing the messages that you are receiving from both your head and your heart to most accurately interpret the incoming, overwhelming informationit is very easy! to be misled. ***This article is adapted from the book, Get Smart! Review on Hoodia Diet Pills

By Wouter Van Dyck Hoodia is a genus of thirteen species in the flowering plant Apcynaceae family, which is under the subfamily Asclepiadoideae. Hoodia plants are trunk succulents, which are also known as Cactiform because of the significant similarity between them and the unconnected cactus family. Their height can be a maximum of 1m and they have big flowers which often have strong smell and flesh color. A lot of hoodia plants are secured plants, ranging to southern Angola from Central Namibia, in rocky areas and plains in particular. Some of those species are treated as garden plants and one of those, Hoodia Gordonii, is now under investigation for using it as an appetite suppressant. Hoodia gordonii diet pills, products and liquids are now very effective due to the Hoodia Breakthrough. Just because of that, losing weight is more effective and much safer now-a-days with all natural pure Hoodia diet pills and liquids. Some of the Hoodia Gordonii products are Pure Hoodia Diet Pills, Hunger Block Plus Diet Pills, Hoodia Liquid, Hoodia Comb packs etc. These are now famous throughout the globe because of their effectiveness and safety. Many people are afraid of diet pills because diet pills usually have scary side effects. An obese person, who has struggled to lose his/ her weight, has perhaps chosen diet pills and it is probable to be frustrated with his/ her options because before the pharmaceutical industry produced weight loss medications have always been double-edged sword. Either they worked having major side effects or they did not work at all. Hoodia Diet Pills have become very successful as they do not have any side effects and work very efficiently. Then again, hoodia diet pills lessen a person’s desire for food and thus the intake of his/ her calorie. If a person consumes lesser calories than he actually burns, then he/ she will definitely lose his/ her weight. He/ she will certainly not gain any weight if he/ she consistently maintains a “caloric deficit”. Products such as, Hoodia diet pills are made in such a way so that a person’s appetite is lessened and he/ she loses some redundant pounds. The Hoodia plant is responsible for the endurance of the oldest people of mankind, the San people of Africa. They executed this plant to reduce hunger during long hunting missions. This plant is proved to be dangerous or unpleasant side effects free. Researches after researches have presented this modern diet pill which is made from Hoodia Gordonii. It controls hunger through the hypothalamus by using a person’s body’s own natural messenger system to inform him/ her when, what and how much food he/ she has to have. Hoodia diet pills work for preventing weight gaining without initiating any kinds of heating or speeding of internal organs. It provides a mighty weapon to reduce hunger because having this pill, a person takes way much lesser calories. It is true that, pure hoodia diet pills are very rare and hard to get. But, today, it is one of the most effective diet pills. Wouter Van Dyck wrote many articles about different weight loss plans. He has experienced dozens of programs himself over the years but finally found a solution. You can read more about him losing weight and more reviews of hoodia diet pills on the Hoodia diet pills review website: http://www.hoodiadietpillsreview.com Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Wouter_Van_Dyck http://EzineArticles.com/?Review-on-Hoodia-Diet-Pills&id=563180 payday loans available for persons paid monthly rhs-guaranteed loan pre foreclosure short sale loan money payday military loans

Cheap Loans till Payday - Tips for Keeping Payday Loan Cost Low

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Carrie_Reeder]Carrie Reeder Before applying for an instant cash payday loan, applicants should understand how payday loans work, and become familiar with payday loan fees. Before cash advance personal loans, getting a loan during emergencies was challenging. Banks and credit unions rarely offer easy loans. Thus, the majority of people rely on credit cards. Payday loans offer cheap loans to all types of people. These loans are very practical. However, those obtaining loans must repay the funds on time and avoid borrowing too much. How Do Cash Advance Loan Companies Work? Cash advance lenders are similar to banks and other lending institutions. However, the requirements for getting approved for a cash advance personal loan are lenient. Banks have several requirements that applicants must meet. For example, banks rarely grant loans to people with poor credit, no collateral, etc. Cash advance loans are quite the opposite. In fact, these lenders specialize in no credit and no collateral loans. Thus, regardless of credit history, it is possible to obtain a quick cash advance. To make the process a little easier, the cash advance lender deposits the funds directly into your checking or savings account. You may repay the loan before the due date. If not, the funds are automatically deducted from your account on the due date. Understanding Payday Loan Fees Many people steer clear of payday loan companies due to fear of high fees. Each lender operates differently. However, you can expect to pay approximately $15 to $30 for every $100 borrowed. This flat fee is based on a two week loan. If you opt for a longer loan term, perhaps 30-days, the fees are doubled. Those seeking a small loan may not worry too much about the fees. The average payday loan is about $500. However, some lenders offer small loans. Moreover, many cash advance lenders offer loans up to $1500. Be careful when applying for large cash advance loan. The fee for a $1500 cash advance is $225. If you are unable to repay the loan, the lender will charge a late fee for each day the loan balance is not paid. You have the option of extending the loan; but, this will result in additional finance fees. The best approach to keeping payday loan fees to a minimum involves borrowing small amounts. If possible, avoid obtaining payday loans larger than $500. Secondly, attempt to repay the loan before the due date. In order to get approved for future loans, you must maintain a good payment history. Lastly, if you doubt your ability to repay the money, do not apply for the loan. Single Christian’s Opportunity

By Mark Scholten Being a single Christian is not a disease, it is an opportunity. Far too may singles think ill of themselves due to naked-left-ring-finger-itis. Far too many in the church treat singles as if they were incomplete. Name 3 singles over the age of 25 that have not had Christian friends trying to play Cupid for them. The church should value her singles as highly as she values those that marry, perhaps more so. Paul clearly prefers the single life in 1 Corinthians 7. He claims it is a great opportunity. Why? Singles can give more time and attention to the needs of Gods kingdom. Paul argued that marriage entangles the Christian with many necessary responsibilities from which the unmarried are free. If marriage takes time, being single saves time. Therefore, Paul could wish that all were single as he was. (1 Corinthians 7:7) Paul also more highly recommend not marrying or giving in marriage so that the single Christian could build the kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 7:36-38) The singles great opportunity is the availability to do ministry. (1 Corinthians 7:32) Unfortunately, most singles spend their extra time on themselves. If you are single and are not giving your extra time and energy to serving God in the ministry of the church, you are not doing it right. You are wasting the opportunity that God has given you. Let me ask you quite frankly, single Christian, what is your ministry in the church? Do you have one? Are you wasting your time and opportunity on merely selfish interests and nursing your neuroses? Are you killing time in merely trivial pursuits? Compared to your married brothers and sisters in Christ, you have fewer worldly concerns and are liberated from many anxieties. (1 Corinthians 7:28, 32) I write this not to add to your anxieties but rather to clarify your opportunity. Your brothers and sisters in Christ need you! The life and ministry of the church needs you! Your gifts, your time, your talents are worth their weight in gold in the kingdom of God. You can only play the hand that you have been dealt, but you can play it well. Dear single Christian, I plead with you now; invest yourself in the ministry of the church. Make the most of the opportunity that God has given you. Why? Serve because that is what God has called you to do. Serve because being active in the service of the King is the best way to meet eligible sons and daughters of the King. Cupid reappears, but I will write more on finding that special someone next time Pastor Mark A. Finding Family Burials in Edinburgh and Leith

By John Arthur The position is this you have worked out your Family Tree; you know where people came from and have an idea when people died. The next problem is how do you find the place of interment? At first glance this may seem simple and straight forward. However in a lot of cases it isnt for the simple reason people are not always buried where you would expect. Contrary to what many people think people from the earliest of times people could travel quite far and of course increasing numbers of people from the 16th/17th century to the present travelled even further afield. So a person born in the UK could have lived most of his life in the UK but then travelled and died abroad which was very common in the records of the 19th century because Great Britain had colonised 25% of the surface of the Earth. Even in a small country like Scotland people travelled and in the 18th and 19th century the fastest way to travel was by ship and so down the east coast of Britain developed a coastal trade with ships traveling from port to port down the coast from the Orkneys in the north to London in the South. That is the reason why in Edinburgh and Leith cemeteries there are gravestones dedicated to people who came from Orkney or from places outwith of the area Not only this but many people in the past could simply not afford to buy a headstone and so it is found that there many times more unmarked graves then marked. The next problem is you have found the proper cemetery and so it should be the case of going and finding the grave. Unfortunately not, for example if your ancestor was buried at South Leith parish Church there are over 300 headstones and over 11,000 unmarked graves dating from the 16th century. At Greyfrairs in Edinburgh there is over a quarter of a million unmarked graves. So by just going to what you think is your ancestors last resting place could prove to be a complete waste of time. Also apart from this gravestones can be moved, damaged, eroded, vandalised or removed completely. This problem however can be solved quite simply. The first thing to do is to produce as far as possible as accurate a family history as possible. If for example they came from Leith then their last known address in Leith will be given on the death certificate. This restricts the number of possible cemeteries that they could be buried in. The next thing to do is to approach the Edinburgh Council Bereavement Services at- anne.grannum@edinburgh.gov.uk giving them all the available information that you have on your ancestor. They will be able to check the burial records free of charge and give you the position of the interment. It should be noted that unmarked graves are recorded so many feet north, south, east and west of a particular headstone. Also remember they only hold the records for Council cemeteries, private cemeteries hold there own. However the council can advice on who to contact. However before visiting a cemetery ensure you have all the relevant information first. Always go properly prepared and in that way you wont have a wasted journey. Don’t Stop Fishing… I Only Broke One Leg!

By Bob Alexander “I just broke my leg!” I yelled at my fishing partners as I lay in the bottom of the boat. They seemed unconcerned about me, only anxious about the fishing tackle I had fallen across. “Those rods are not broken are they?” my friend Captain Steve asked, not concerned about me at all. “No” I shouted, “But my ankle is!” It was a beautiful warm, sunny, January morning and the Gulf of Mexico at Panama City, Florida was like glass, as smooth as far as the eye could see. The temperature at 8:00 am was in the low seventies. The morning mist from the gulf hid from sight the sea birds you could hear screeching as they fought each other for a morsel of food or any bait left by early fishermen. It was a perfect day and we were about to cast off for a spot about 12 miles offshore from the marina. Previously Captain Steve, my buddy Jimmy and I had filled up the gas tanks of Steve’s 22 foot fishing boat, bought cigar minnows and squid for bait. Our rod and reels were secured in their holders with the rest of our tackle, cooler and refreshments in the bottom of the boat. Now it was time to head out to our secret hole somewhere in the Gulf, located by the coordinates that Steve had scribbled in his notebook. Finally we were ready to begin our voyage on a mirror like sea. Everything was wonderful until I stepped from the dock onto the side of the boat and fell. My brand new tennis shoes gripped the bow as the boat shifted to the right. Unfortunately my feet were still pointed to the left. My right ankle sounded like a firecracker as it snapped! For some this would have been the end of the fishing trip on such a glorious day in the middle of winter, but not for me. I jerked off my shoe and saw my foot swelling before my eyes. The more swollen it became, the more it hurt. The sight even subdued my fishing companions. They were scurrying around helping me find a seat, asking if I wanted to go to the hospital. Even though there was no doubt in my mind that my ankle was broken, it would have been a disservice to the other two guys not to continue our trip after the money we had spent on tackle, bait, gas and grub. By now my foot looked like a balloon. Captain Steve went below and came back with a half gallon jug of rum. Medicinal of course! “This will help with the pain as he grimaced at the sight of my foot!” he laughed as he handed me the bottle. We shoved off and began gliding our way out of the harbor, maneuvering our boat around the many cargo ships that were anchored offshore of the Port of Panama City. After about 45 minutes we arrived at our location. Captains Steve’s navigational tools pinpointed an artificial reef of an old tugboat. These old tugs make perfect habitats for many types of fish, from grouper to flounder. By the time we arrived, I was pleasantly sedated even though my foot still hurt. We caught a lot of fish that winter’s day. Seated on a deck chair with my right foot resting on a boat cushion, I had two lines dangling over the side of the boat. Sometimes both rods were bent with fish on each line. We had our fishing rigs baited with cut bait, cigar minnows and squid. We fished for about four hours and caught some of the largest flounder I have ever seen as well as red snapper and 2 small groupers. By early afternoon my fishing companions were beginning to be more concerned about the state of my foot. The swelling never seemed to stop; nor did the pain. My foot hurt of course, but I didn’t care. We were catching a lot of fish and this made the whole trip worthwhile. We stowed our tackling, put our fish in the ice chests and went back to our marina. I was immediately taken to the hospital where the doctors and nurses fussed at me for not coming in sooner. My ankle was broken in 2 places, insuring me of a cast and crutches. All in all it was a memorable experience fishing in the Gulf, but then they all are! Bob Alexander is well experienced in outdoor cooking, holiday eating and leisure living.
